About AWIS
AWIS is a curator of Philippine pottery.
We are not a manufacturer. We find work we think is worth keeping, record what we know about it, and present it plainly.
The pieces here are stoneware, fired high enough to vitrify, made to be used rather than kept behind glass.
The studio
The current collection is made at The Stoneware Pottery, Inc..
It arrives in five glazes: black, brown, cobalt, green and white. Each form is thrown in a small run, so quantities differ from one glaze to the next.

The Barnacle Bowl is a named collaboration with the potter Mia Casal. It sits outside the main collection and is made to order, with colour pairs chosen per commission.
