Origin

AWIS gathers pottery from studios across the Philippines. We keep the makers' names to ourselves, out of respect for the people we work with, and let the object speak instead.

Three regions

Philippine pottery is not one tradition but many, shaped by the clay under each part of the country.

The current collection

Each object is listed with what we know of it: its material, its dimensions, and how to care for it. What it does not carry is a story we cannot verify.

Every piece is commissioned for AWIS and chosen before it reaches you.
